Alignment: IT and Business Strategy: North American research has identified that in over 500 US Fortune 1,000 organizations, 42% of respondents agreed that their business and IT strategies were not aligned. Is alignment important? In Australia, separate research has shown that alignment is important. It was found to improve communications and relationships between business and IT decision makers improves the use of IT in the delivery of organisational goals. From HCP’s perspective, alignment is critical.
